Lambeth Council, serving as the local authority for the London Borough of Lambeth, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the well-being of its residents and fostering a thriving community. Lambeth Council moved to Drupal in late 2013, launching two new flagship sites in January 2014; www.lambeth.gov.uk and love.lambeth.gov.uk.
Initially developed in-house, Lambeth Council were looking for an external company to perform an audit of both sites. With the aim of optimising, hosting and supporting them in the future.
Lambeth council use their websites to offer accessible services to their residents, so all work needed to support this aim as well as to continue building on these services in the future.

Our team started with an audit of the sites, identifying and fixing many quality and functional issues. We optimised the performance to ensure they would continue to operate at a high standard. They then migrated the sites to our virtual private cloud hosting solution, situated in our tier 3 ISO 27001 data centre in Kent.
Over the past 10 years we have continued to support and enhance the sites on a day to day basis. In 2022 we took over support and enhancement of their LocalGov distribution and introduced another site to their portfolio - Active Lambeth.
To secure optimal performance we needed to refactor and improve the codebase to ensure that Lambeth Council could continue to build on their online services in the future.
